Meet the Team : Susan
“At the end of any call, I want to leave the other person with a smile on their face.”
Meet Susan, part of the Deaf Lottery Contact Centre team.
Susan joined our team after seeking out roles in the nonprofit sector, and we’re certainly glad to have her!
Susan is someone who genuinely enjoys communicating with people, and her positivity is such an asset to the team.
“I love talking to all sorts of people from all walks of life, to help them, and to help us support the Deaf community in a way that suits their budget,” says Susan. “At the end of any call, I want to leave the other person with a smile on their face.”
It’s the knowledge of the support her work delivers to Deaf Australians that makes Susan “feel warm inside”, and says it feels amazing to come to work each day knowing she is doing something worthwhile.
Outside of work, Susan has diverse interests such as horse riding, skiing and music, and has spend many years as a bodybuilder (and reminding us often that she can still do the splits!).
“Any person I talk to, even if they’re down, even if they don’t buy a ticket, I want to leave them cheered up,” Susan says. “It’s why we’re all here, after all.”
