Ever wondered where the funds raised from the sale of Lottery tickets go?
The Deaf Lottery Australia is a fundraising program conducted by Deaf Services Queensland, the leading end to end service provider for the Deaf and hard of hearing community in Queensland.
Some of the services and programs include:
- Auslan interpreting and translations
- Community Auslan (Australian Sign Language) classes
- Independent living support for Deaf people with additional disabilities
- Dynamic workshops and mentoring for Deaf community members
- Ageing Well services
- Hear for Kids
Deaf Services Queensland has just announced the launch of a children’s service, Hear for Kids, which delivers early intervention services and therapy support to Deaf and hard of hearing children between the ages of 0-7.

Funds raised from The Deaf Lottery Australia also help support the mentoring services of Hear For You designed for young 12-18 year olds who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
