In September, we celebrated a massive National Week of Deaf People (18-24 September) with a huge awareness campaign on billboards in all major cities of Australia. We had the honour of hosting a delegation of Deaf organisations, current and emerging leaders in the Deaf community, and members of the Federal Government including the Hon Bill Shorten MP (Minister for the NDIS) to a breakfast at Parliament House. There, we discussed how the NDIS could be improved to support the Deaf community with those capable of implementing change.

Additionally, our services continue to grow and expand, with offices in South Australia and Western Australia. We're now able to provide our support to many more Deaf Australians, and have delivered over 45,000 hours of interpreting support, over 50,000 hours of dedicated support work and trained over 1,000 students in Auslan – Australian Sign Language 2023.
